Filey Bay is the first single malt whisky made in, and of, Yorkshire. Why 'of Yorkshire'? Because it's created by the distillery from field to bottle, here on the coast.
In June 2016, the distillery ran the stills for the first time and filled our first casks. Filey Bay First Release was bottled in September 2019 and since then Filey Bay has grown and prospered.

Flagship being Filey Bay Core Whisky.

Flagship is based on 100% homegrown Harley and matured for 5 years on Ex-Bourbon casks.

Light, fruity and creamy, our Flagship single malt is made from field to bottle with 100% homegrown barley and is the culmination of our ex-Bourbon matured style (following on from the ‘First’ and ‘Second’ Releases). The distillery ethos is all about respecting tradition but doing things our own way – the style, taste and creation of Flagship truly brings this to life.

46% ABV, unpeated, clean Single Malt.

  • Caramel

  • Citrus

  • Honey

  • Vanilla.

This is an edition being released on a Batch basis.

Sweden receives 120 bottles from batch #3.

Primarily matured in first-fill bourbon casks laid down in the winter of 2018 before a secondary maturation in peated casks, this single malt brings the west coast of Scotland here to the east coast of Yorkshire.

How smoky is this release? Subtle and softly smoky, full of coastal character with a hint of citrus.

46% ABV, subtle peat.

This is an edition being released on a Batch basis.

Sweden receives 120 bottles from batch #3.

For the fourth of our annual autumn/winter Sherry Cask Reserve series, Whisky Director Joe married together three cask types from the warehouse. Ex-Moscatel casks bring floral softness, ex-Oloroso casks add nutty complexity, and the ex-PX casks round it off with rich sweetness.

Only 2000 bottles.

46% alkoholvolym, unpeated.
