Isle of Raasay, an island outside of another island in the Hebrideans, Scotland, en ö utanför en ö i Hebriderna utanför Skottlands västkust, is where Raasay Hebridian Destillers are located.. the history of the distillery began when Alasdair Day came across a book of recipes dated back to the year 18990. When browsing through this book an idea was born, which later grew into a dream that one day produce his own whisky.

This hyped, small distillery in the outer Hebrids continues to go from strength to strength in the world of whisky.

Although it wasn't that long ago the Morrison Family sold Bowmore Distillery on Islay, they still have a strong connection to the island - which subsequently led to their whiskyseries Mac-Talla.

When the family strateg the planning of a Single Malt from Islay they were looking to offer more than just another peatade whisky. they believe, with all do respect, the island have more to offer than just lots of peat and smoke - hence they created three different versions of Mac-Talla - Terra, Mara and Strata.
